KraftMaid Construction in Chino, CA
We provide independent KraftMaid cabinet installation, refacing, and KraftMaid in Eastvale and across Chino’s 91708 and 91710 zip codes. What makes our KraftMaid work different here is that we’ve torn enough of these boxes apart in Chino tract homes to know exactly where they fail in this climate, and we build around those weak points rather than just swapping parts. Call (877) 752-3951 for a free estimate. We’re a full-scope general contractor, not a manufacturer shop, so we handle your KraftMaid cabinets and the countertop, backsplash, and structural work around them under one contract.
We also handle KraftMaid sales & service across the broader region, but Chino is where the older housing stock tells us the most about how these cabinets age.
Why Chino Residents Choose Us for KraftMaid Service
Our crew has torn out and rebuilt enough KraftMaid box, drawer, and door systems across Chino tract homes that we know the line’s hinge patterns, finish codes, and cabinet-box joinery by hand, not by brochure. When a hinge screw wallows out of a soft maple stile on a Homestead door, we don’t diagnose it from a spec sheet. We’ve fixed that same failure in a dozen kitchens along the 91710 corridor. Noel Carranza, our owner, grew up around framing and finish work in Yorba Linda, and he’s carried that trade through two decades of full remodels and structural projects across the Inland Empire. Do it right the first time, the second time costs twice as much and nobody’s happy about it.
We are an independent contractor. We do not hold KraftMaid authorization and make no claim of manufacturer partnership or warranty endorsement. What we offer is direct, honest knowledge of how KraftMaid cabinets behave in Chino homes, plus the capacity to manage the entire job: cabinet install or reface, countertop, tile, plumbing disconnect and reconnect, and any structural fixing in the wall behind the cabinets.

Common KraftMaid Construction Problems We Solve in Chino
- Thermofoil and laminate door skins peeling at the edges. Dry Inland Empire heat and low humidity cycling does this to thermofoil faster than coastal air ever will. We see it most on KraftMaid Amera and Aspen fronts in west-facing kitchens where afternoon sun pours through single-pane sliders. The fix is usually refacing, not a full tear-out.
- Particleboard-core sink cabinet boxes swelling and sagging. Older Chino plumbing in 1970s to 1990s builds leaks slowly under the sink, and by the time you see it, the box bottom has already started to go. We replace the box bottom in plywood when the carcass is still solid, or tell you straight when the whole cabinet has to go.
- Hinge screws wallowing out of the face frame. Soft maple stiles on KraftMaid Homestead doors take years of opening and closing, and eventually the screw hole strips out. Doors drop, rub against adjacent drawer fronts, and the hinges pull loose. We set new KraftMaid-spec hinges or upgrade to soft-close hardware where the original is discontinued.
- Finish chalking and color shift on painted doors. South- and west-facing kitchens in Chino’s 91708 south side near the Preserve get intense late-day sun. Painted KraftMaid fronts in those spots fade unevenly, and the finish chalks at the edges. We match and reface those doors rather than forcing a full replacement.
- Drawer slides failing on overloaded base cabinets. The original side-mount slides in many older Chino KraftMaid kitchens were built for lighter use. Once heavy pots go in, the slides bend, stick, or shear their screws. We swap them for Blum-style undermount slides and the drawers run better than new.
KraftMaid Service in Chino: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
Chino is a former dairy-farming town turned logistics hub, and that split shows up in the housing stock. The older 91710 core is mostly 1970s through 1990s tract homes with original KraftMaid kitchens, while the newer 91708 south side has infill builds with recent KraftMaid painted lines. The same contractor here ends up doing retrofits in both, and the failure patterns differ by ZIP. In 91710 we’re pulling swollen sink-base boxes and delaminated thermofoil out of 30-year-old kitchens. In 91708 the boxes are usually fine, but the west-facing painted doors show sun fade and the hinges loosen earlier than they should on soft maple stiles. Around the 60/71 corridor, where warehouse staging dominates, the dry heat and wind-driven dust mean freshly delivered cabinet components can warp if they go straight from a hot shipping container onto the frame. We acclimate doors and boxes to the house for several days before hanging anything, because Inland Empire heat swings will curve a door that gets installed cold. That’s a step most installers skip, and it’s one of the reasons our Chino refaces hold their reveal lines.
Northern Chino’s industrial belt also means cabinet-grade plywood and KraftMaid fronts often sit in warehouse staging before install. That’s why acclimation matters here more than in Ontario, Yorba Linda or Brea, where a lot of the supply chain is shorter and the temperature swings are milder. Chino’s got the hottest interior air in the western Inland Empire, and the materials feel it.
KraftMaid Models & Products We Service in Chino
We work on the lines Chino homes actually have in them. KraftMaid Homestead cabinetry, raised-panel oak and maple, is the backbone of 1980s and 1990s tract kitchens in the 91710 core. KraftMaid Amera and Aspen door styles show up in painted and thermofoil finishes across newer remodels. Vantage-series all-plywood boxes are common in 91708 builds near the Preserve. We also service KraftMaid bathroom vanities and linen cabinets in the 91710 remodel stock.
Parts strategy is simple. Where the KraftMaid line is still orderable, we use KraftMaid-spec hinges, drawer slides, and matching door and drawer fronts. Where the original is discontinued, we use quality aftermarket hardware: Blum-style undermount slides, soft-close hinges, and matched refacing doors. If the boxes are solid but the fronts are shot, refacing usually beats replacement. If the box bottoms or carcasses are swelling, we tell you to replace rather than patch. No point building a new face on a frame that’s already failing.

FAQs – KraftMaid Construction in Chino
Refacing works when the boxes are structurally sound and the doors, drawer fronts, and hinges are the failing pieces. In a lot of 91710 tract homes, the Homestead oak boxes are solid but the thermofoil drawer fronts have peeled and the sink-base bottom has swollen. We keep the boxes, install new plywood bottoms where needed, reface the doors and drawer fronts, and set a new countertop. If the carcasses themselves are swelling or the face frames are pulling apart, replacement is the honest call. Call (877) 752-3951 and we’ll tell you which one your kitchen needs.
Thermofoil peel is a heat and UV problem, and in Chino it tracks sun exposure. West- and south-facing kitchens with single-pane sliders get decades of afternoon heat and low humidity, which breaks the adhesive bond at the door edges. Your neighbor’s kitchen probably faces north or east, or has better window coverings. The fix is refacing those doors with painted or laminate fronts that handle Chino sun better, and we adjust the reveal lines so the new doors clear the frame even in summer heat. Call (877) 752-3951 for a reface quote.
Sometimes with KraftMaid if the style is still orderable, usually with a matched refacing door if it’s not. We’ve matched enough Homestead and Amera profiles to know which ones still exist in the line and which ones need a custom reface. For partial remodels in Chino, we test-match finish and grain on site before we quote, so you’re not guessing from a paint chip. Call (877) 752-3951 with your door style and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
We install quartz and granite on KraftMaid cabinets regularly, including Cambria, Silestone, and Caesarstone lines. Stone goes on after the cabinets are set and leveled, and it won’t void a KraftMaid cabinet warranty as long as the boxes are installed to spec and the weight is properly supported. If you’re in a Chino home with an older particleboard box, we may add a plywood subtop first. That protects the box and gives the stone a flat, stable base. Call (877) 752-3951 to talk countertop and cabinet together.
Chino’s summer heat and Santa Ana winds accelerate wood movement, so doors and boxes that were stored cold or dry will warp when they hit the house. We acclimate KraftMaid components to the home for several days before hanging them, watching the reveal lines as the wood settles. Skipping that step means crooked doors by August. It’s standard practice on our Chino installs, not an add-on. Call (877) 752-3951 to schedule a measure and free estimate.
